Turning a gravel pit into nuggets of educational gold for area students.
The Franco-American Education Foundation
The Franco-American Education Foundation was created in the late 1990's in an effort to provide educational assistance to high school graduates of Franco-American heritage pursuing higher education.
Initially funded with a $2,000,000 bequest from the estate of Lucien and Georgianna M. Martin, the scholarship has continued to grow and has helped hundreds of students from the Lewiston-Auburn region further their education and succeed.
This scholarship is made possible through the generosity of the following benefactors:
- The Estate of Lucien and Georgianna M. Martin
- The Estate of Maurice F. Hemond
- The Estate of Rose Couturier
- The Estate of Albert E. Cote
- The Estate of Roland A. and Theresa Rodrigue
