The Franco-American Education Foundation

The Franco-American Education Foundation was created in the late 1990's in an effort to provide educational assistance to high school graduates of Franco-American heritage pursuing higher education.

Initially funded with a $2,000,000 bequest from the estate of Lucien and Georgianna M. Martin, the scholarship has continued to grow and has helped hundreds of students from the Lewiston-Auburn region further their education and succeed.

This scholarship is made possible through the generosity of the following benefactors:

  • The Estate of Lucien and Georgianna M. Martin
  • The Estate of Maurice F. Hemond
  • The Estate of Rose Couturier
  • The Estate of Albert E. Cote
  • The Estate of Roland A. and Theresa Rodrigue
